February Membership Meeting

In recognition of Black History Month and the trailblazers amongst us, we are pleased to welcome LACCD Board of Trustee Member Nichelle Henderson and Tunua Thrash-Ntuk as our featured guest speakers.

We'll also be previewing the programming you can expect in the new year. See you on February 22!

Learn more about Trustee Henderson:
Nichelle Henderson was elected to the LACCD Board of Trustees in November 2020. She is a college faculty and union organizer that advocates for and builds capacity around the issues of education, labor, women’s reproductive health and political empowerment. She is a member of several Democratic Clubs and is an elected delegate to the Los Angeles County Democratic Central Committee representing AD66. She is also an alumni of Emerge CA, the Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute, and the LA County Federation of Labor’s Civic Leadership Academy.

Learn more about Tunua Thrash-Ntuk:
A native Angeleno, Tunua Thrash-Ntuk is the Executive Director of Los Angeles Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LA LISC). She is a seasoned community and economic development practitioner of more than 15-years with both non-profit and private sector experiences. Prior to joining LISC, Tunua served as Executive Director of West Angeles Community Development Corporation. She most recently ran as a candidate for Long Beach City Council, District 8.
